The Government Action Fair (SAGO 2022): ARSEL was present

The Electricity Sector Regulatory Agency (ARSEL), exposed its missions at the 11th edition of the Government Action Fair (SAGO) that took place from the 22nd June – 01st July, 2022, in Yaounde.

Being part of this event enabled the Regulator to present to the public its contributions in the modernization of the Cameroonian Electricity Sector, as a lever  for achieving the objectives of National Development Strategy 2030 (NDS30).

Emphasis was on its missions, activities and services put in place with regards to the regulation, control and monitoring of the activities of operators, the fight against electricity fraud, as well as the protection of the rights and interests of consumers, in the electricity sector.

Among the tools put in place to ensure the best performance of the sector are controls, inspections, technical and financial audits, a call center and a conciliation commission. An arbitration center and regional delegations will be put into operation in the near future.

ARSEL welcomed many visitors to its stand. Some of the visitors exposed their complains, while others appreciated the participation of ARSEL. Most plaintiffs received immediate answers to their preoccupations, while more complex issues were referred to the Conciliation Commission.
